Literature Text

The fog seeps closer,
Concealing the houses across the street,
And the road out front,
And the laughing children,
Who scream their silly screams,
Echoing against bladed grass

The trees turn red,
Dripping dew,
With arms reaching out,
Grasping and gasping,
Budded claws cut thick air,
And sway in the stiff wind

The lizard with the badger face,
Watches with a smirk,
Tail hanging,
And swinging back and forth,
Small paws clasped together,
Chattering chuckles

Flapping wings,
Silhouetted against grey sky,
Gloomy and textured,
With a pinch of painted silence,
And a dash of cold distace,
And a collection of precise hatred
So, I looked outside today and fog seems to have taken over my small city. Anyway, this happened.
